Olfactory Art Keller is honored to present the third and final event of Ginger Andro, Chuck Glicksman, and Mark Ari’s The Bridge Project: Wonder Wheel. Conceived during the COVID pandemic, The Bridge Project was originally a series of image, sound, scent and text installations deliverable by mail in a letter-sized envelope.  Over the last year, at the invitation of Andreas Keller, these works have been reconceived as scent-suffused art events at Olfactory Art Keller. Each event explores an iconic New York City structure for its nostalgic power and inspirational energy. Via Brooklyn Bridge invented a means of travel in stillness. Colossus set sights on the great lady of New York Harbor, interrogating Liberty’s fulfilled and broken promises. 

For Wonder Wheel, the artists open Coney Island’s cosmological bouquet of memory, mindfulness, and the American Playground to ponder the whirl of fortune. Wheels may grind, but they also propel.  Wheels lift and fall and lift again. It’s sadness chasing joy.  It is hope in the pit. Wheels turn.  That is their nature. Along the way, the least we can hope for are some entertainments and an opportunity to make “scents” of it all. The interactive installation is an experience of fragrance, video projection, sound, and text. And of course there are games!
