artist statement:
The slow descent into the earth, the air thickens, the light becomes scarce.
The prying eyes of surveillance are blinded, the notifications fall silent.
Electric blue turns to earthen green, cold plastic to warm soil. Water
trickles towards the core, roots extend through the crevices. The world
above converges into a small dot. Only the rhythm of a heartbeat, the
release of a bated breath.
