Against our daily immersion in incessant screen culture and audio-visual pollutants, fire reminds us of our primal ability to invent and renew, purge and purify.   

Cade Black 9 distills fire’s essence and inimitable power into a few select ingredients, honoring both its smoky warmth and alchemic legacy. Dismissing the rote nature of top, medium, and low note logic, this scent strips the bark off conventional perfumery—literally and figuratively. Based on the incredibly potent oil of the cade tree—a species of juniper native to the Mediterranean region known for its smoky aroma—the scent relies on the minimalist assumption that a little goes a long way. The power of a single drop of cade is blended with other botanicals such as ambrette, cacao, agarwood, tamarack and a bit of rosemary, which evokes a sense of duff, the smell of a forest’s floor. More Brothers Grimm than friendly campfire, this scent will take you to an enchanted wood and dare you to dance at midnight.
